Project 365- Week 8

Friday February 19th
We had our annual Olympian sleepover at the church. The kids have a great time and many youth went forward to receive Christ that night! Here I am with one of my 2nd graders playing foozeball.

Saturday February 20th
Kaleigh went to a birthday party and I, of course, forgot to bring my camera but, she did not forget to bring hers! So this was pic was taken with her camera. I am beginning to see why she dislikes it. It takes terrible pictures.

Sunday February 21st
What you find when your almost 11 year old gets ahold of your camera.

Monday February 22nd
Blake working on a special project with Pepere in his garage.

Tuesday February 23rd
We went to see our dear friends in Putnam. Here is a picture of all the kids together.

Wednesday February 24th
I came down to cook breakfast for the kids and found Parker searching for a Star Wars action figure. MANY things get lost under those couches. I thought he looked cute searching with his flashlight!

Thursday February 25th
My mother brought home a puppy last week and we have been letting her out a couple times a day while my mom is working. The kids just adore her, but she is certainly making me rethink getting another lab at this point in time. Her name is Allie.

Project 365- Week 7

Friday February 12th
Friday is typically a lighter load for school and a heavier load of cleaning. The boys were cleaning their room. When I walked in to check on their progress this is what I found, Blake under his bed reading.

Saturday February 13th
Blake got these Jeff Gordan racing suncatchers from the Olympian store the week before. He couldn't wait to paint them and give them to his Pepere Pete for Valentine's Day.

Sunday February 14th
It is tradition to go over to Shaun and Lisa's house for a murder mystery dinner. Lisa is a fabulous cook and the fellowship is nothing less than gut splitting laughter. This year Eric was a mill owner and I was his wife and mother of six.

Everyone dresses up to "fit" the part. It is fabulous attire, if I do say so.

Monday February 15th
The boys and I headed out to do a little shopping and I picked up this $22 rug for $6...LOVE A DEAL!

Tuesday February 16th
Kaleigh and I have been working on a farm for the past couple months, taking care of these two horses, Daisy and Alladin. Kaleigh loves every minute of it.

Wednesday February 17th
My mom has been picking up things on clearance for the kids here and there. She ended up getting a $3 shirt that had this remote control dino with it....Thanks Mom...Your one of a kind!

Thursday February 18th
A boy and his dog.

Project 365-Week 6

Friday February 5th
Day 95 of school.

Saturday February 6th
Can you tell what unit we will be starting next week??? Just in time for President's Day.

Sunday February 7th
We had a superbowl party with about 31 total in attendance. The real sports fanatics watched the game in the game room while I kept 11 children busy with games and crafts in the main part of the house.

At half time the kids had a parade with their noise makers they had made.

Monday February 8th
The boys had been studying South Africa for our geography club this month and made this diarama as part of their presentation on the country.

Tuesday February 9th
The kids had Mad Science. Blake thought Cosmic Chris was sooo funny.

If you are wondering the topic was on matter...particularly air. Here Cosmic Chris is demonstrating the power of air.

Wednesday February 10th Daddy was home due to the major snowstorm(they forcasted 10-14 inches)that we were having that day. So after school, they played a game of Parcheesi. I would like to add that we barely got 6 inches.

Thursday February 11th The kids spent part of the morning collecting just the right items for the snowmen they were planning to build after they were done with school. Here is my favorite, the use of the goggles just cracks me up.

Monday February 1st
Snapped a picture of what Parker does every Monday afternoon...guitar lesson with Skip.

Tuesday February 2nd
The kids started getting sick. Probably from our time on Sunday. So I started them on the usual regimine to stop it in its tracks. I won't complain though, they have not gotten sick since September.

Wednesday February 3rd
Eric sitting on the couch after work enjoying a popscicle, went to take his first suck, when his lip froze to the pop...LOL! I laughed so hard...

Thursday February 4th
Proof that my daughter, who will be 11 in July, finally graduated to size 10 pants!

Sacred Sundays

Sundays are precious around here because it is the only day of the week that my husband has off right now. I try not to put any agendas on him because of this. This past Sunday he asked if we wanted to go down the road for some ice fishing and rocket launching. Um...well being out in the freezing cold isn't what I had in mind...but... OK I thought. So he packed up bait, wood, everything for the rockets, his ice fishing gear, the chairs and a ball. Knowing he would be making a fire on the ice, I got the stuff to make smores and hot chocolate. We even decided to let the dog come. The kids had an absolute blast getting dragged around on the ice by Macaveli.

We enjoyed hot chocolate and marshmallows around the fire.

And Eric launched the rockets he had made with the kids a while back.

We actually caught two fish. Here is one that Kaleigh reeled up but wouldn't hold so Parker stepped in to show her how it's done.
