Get ready!!!

Some time is late July, Mem finally realized that going back home to live alone just wasn't an option anymore.  So after some discussion, we invited her to move in with us.  The only problem was, we had about a 12 day notice from the time the decision had been made to the day of her discharge from the convalescent home.  Twelve days is not alot of time to clear out a room that you have been using as your office and classroom for the last 9 years.  Not only did ALL the items in that room need to be packed up and moved out, the walls needed to be repaired from years of tacks and double sided tape.  After it was repaired and sanded, it all needed to be repainted.  Then we had to move her essentials in.  Lastly, we needed to install a stair lift as the only full bath  and her bedroom is on the second floor.  It was no small task, but by the grace of God and working till well after midnight many nights, we got it done!  She moved in on August 8th!

Sharp Family Reunion

It is always so much fun to get together with the extended Sharp family.  There are so many cousins from all over the country,  that we just don't see often enough.  We were blessed this year that Katrina and her girls were able to come all the way from Indiana and Shelley and her gang, all the way from Florida.  The kids swam and played and the adults just enjoyed one another's company.  Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend.
                                                   Bruce and Donna from Maine
                                                      Stacey from Massachusetts and me
                                                   Grammie and Grampy from RI
Seth, Blake and Eric ( Seth is the youngest of Donna and Bruce's nine children)
Jared, Parker and Harrison ( Jared is Stacey's and Harrison is a cousin from FL)
                                                    Kaleigh on the rope swing
                                                          Grampy swimming
                                               Eric and Steve from Maine=TROUBLE!
                                                     Dan, Vanessa and Anneliese
Shelley, Ashley, Lydia, Kayla and Stacey
                                                                      Lots of Cousins!!!
