New Hampshire- Day 5

On Day 5, we decided to head out for a hike.  We decided to follow the blue trail as it was a moderate hike.

We came to a fork in the path where we could go off on a yellow trail and eventually meet back up with the blue trail.  Eric decided he wanted to be adventurous and coaxed us into joining him.  This was NOT a moderate hike.  It was straight up!  It became very evident to me that I am severely out of shape!

But it was all good when we met our final destination of this beautiful waterfall!

                        See the rainbow?!?

Later on that evening, we relaxed at the campsite...the boys played two on two basketball with some other campers, while I sat around and read by book.  Then, we had a tractor ride around the campground.  The theme at the campground is Christmas in July, so Santa was spotted during the tractor ride.   After the ride, we enjoyed an ice cream social.

New Hampshire Day 3&4

DAY 3
After our long and action packed day at Attitash, we decided on a low-key relaxing day at a local river. We packed our lunch, towels and fishing poles and took a short hike into this lovely watering hole on the river.  It was great to relax with a book while the kids and Eric fished and swam.

This was a HUGE spider that the boys spotted near the water's edge.  If you know me you know I was completely freaked out by it!

Some video of the boys river riding....

DAY 4
We headed out to Whale's Tale.  It was a beautiful day and perfect for the water park.
Once again, we opened and closed the park.

This was the speed slide that Eric and Blake did a half dozen times...it is a straight shot down!

  I couldn't rotate the video...sorry.

Parker and Kaleigh in the wave pool.

                                                 Daddy giving K some lovin'
This was Kaleigh's favorite ride, she did it about 7 times.

Just look at these two devious boys, dumping water on unsuspecting children below.  They take after their father...for sure!

                                              Enjoying a ice cold beverage.

Parker on his favorite ride...we dubbed it the toilet bowl.

Eric and me on my favorite ride...

The same ride but with Eric and Parker...

New Hampshire- Day 1&2

We fell in love with the White Mountains in New Hampshire four years ago and have wanted to go back for several years.  This year we finally made it.  We headed out on July 17th on our 4 hour drive to New Hampshire.  Upon our arrival we set up camp.  While Eric cooked dinner, the kids and I played  Quirkle.

After dinner we headed over to the pool.  I like the idea of an indoor, heated pool because even on cold, rainy days, the kids still have a way to expel some energy.

After swimming Parker and I challenged each other to a game of checkers.

DAY 2
Our second day we headed out to Attitash for some outdoor fun.
We rode the mountain coaster called the Nor'Easter.  Kaleigh went on once and decided it wasn't for her.   Eric and the boys went on at least 3 times.

We went on the water slides........

Did some trampolining..........

We went on the alpine slides, about 6 times!

Parker and Blake decided to do the high jump...

And Kaleigh did some rock climbing...
