July 2013

July 2nd
Eric and his dad have been plugging away on the barn every spare moment they get.  This was all in a day's work!

July 4th
We said goodbye to Toby and Simon to their forever home.  There were lots of tears shed by Blake as Toby was "his" kitten.

July 5th
Kaleigh's only wish for her birthday was that she could go on a trail ride with her BFF.  I talked to Loree and we made it happen.  Here are the two happy girls on Bella and Dottie.

July 6th
Eric wanted me to take this picture as documented proof that he washes windows... LOL!

July 7th
We hauled in 368 bales of hay today.  Kaleigh got to drive the tractor for a bit.

July 8th
Kaleigh's actual birthday was today and all she wanted was to hang with her horse.  So I brought him to the house for the day and she got to ride him in her ring for the first time for a lesson with Shea.

                    Later that day we had ice cream cake and opened presents

We brought Bucky over again for the day so K could get some ring work in.  Here are a few videos.

June -Part 2

June 16th- The kittens all curled up on Kaleigh and went to sleep.

June 17th-  The boys wanted to make a fire to roast marshmallows and sit around.  So we let them.  My husband and father in law were right there about 10 feet away.  My grandmother was beside herself that I was allowing this.  My just about 10 and 11 year old to make fires!  Unthinkable!  LOL!  They are boys and we would rather them try it while supervised than try it unsupervised.

           June 18th-  This had me laughing so hard....the dog never even woke up!

June 19th-  Memere's pool liner is replaced and the boys took the first swim of the season.

June 20th- I took the kittens off the bottle and started them on soft food.  Man what a mess!

Later that night we went to Daddy's softball game.

June 21st- Parker had 4 buddies over after school for his birthday party.  I took them to see the new Superman movie and then they went swimming.  They played manhunt outside till 10pm then retreated to the game room.  We are super blessed to have a place that 6 boys and get rowdy and loud and sleep in comfortably.

                 
                     They played 3 on 3 basketball for like an hour and a half.

June 22nd- We gave Parker his present.  We got him a Cat Condo and told him he could keep one of the kittens we had been raising.  Andrew and Alreno helped put in together for Parker.

June 2013- Part 1

Saturday June 1st Kaleigh took Bucky to his FIRST show.  They didn't do too bad.  She took a third, fourth and fifth out of five riders in her division.  

Sunday June 2nd Kaleigh and I did out very FIRST hunter pace.  It was so much fun.  Kaleigh took first place on my friend's horse, Dotty and I took second on Bucky.  West Greenwich Horseman's Club is a great group to be involved with.

Tuesday June 4th the wood for my barn arrived.  Thanks Dad and Eric for all your hard work!

Wednesday June 5th we headed out for a hike in the beautiful weather.

Sunday June 9th Kaleigh had her first Tri-State show.  Bucky was so bored as you can tell.  LOL! Unfortunately, Bucky kept breaking his trot so they did not place.

When I went to download my pictures there were a lot of very cool shots that I assumed Kaleigh took, being she likes the whole photography thing.  I was very shocked to learn that it was Blake.  This 9 year old has some great vision, I think!  These were taken on 6/10 and 6/11.

Wednesday June 12th.  Kaleigh decided to do a kitten cam today.  They are so cute it's almost unbearable.


Thursday June 13th.  Poor thing has a tumor growing on his eyelid.  Dr. gave us some meds to try but it's not doing much.
