World Missions and Science Fair

May 20th the kids participated in a World Missions/Science Fair. It was put on through a Christian Homeschooling group that I am part of. Kaleigh had been studying the solar system so she did a display for that for the science portion. For the Missions portion of it we highlighted our friends, the Kinzers, in Kenya Africa who are working with Little Lambs, amoung other things. Little Lambs is a organization for AIDS orphans. The kids had fun learning about Africa and putting together our presentation. Kaleigh passed out prayer cards and did a penny drive to raise money for them. This fit perfectly because the youth group at our church was doing a penny drive in the month of May, so she was able to add what she collected to that total. It was a great way to learn about Africa and learn about what they are doing there. I was very proud at the kids presentations. A little upset about the fact that I left my camera at home that day. Oh well. I at least have a picture of them working on the poster board the week before.
