Trimming the tree

It is tradition here to get our tree the day after Thanksgiving. This year, however, Eric had to work Black Friday, so we got our tree on Sunday instead. This year we did not have to travel far to get our beautiful tree! It came from our very own front yard! LOL!

Years ago we got six Blue Spruce, for free, and decided to line part of the driveway with them. Eric has since decided that he no longer wants them there, so we decided to put one of them to good use. There was a GREAT deal of tree trimming this year trying to get it to fit in the house and have that traditional triangle shape. My grandmother was a great deal of help, instructing Eric where which side needed more trimming and where.




After Eric did his job, the lights, the kids got busy putting on the decorations.
