Today (Sat. 10/8) was Kaleigh's last show of the season. The day started out quite frantic because I completely forgot to set my alarm clock. Instead of getting up at 6:30am, I didn't wake up till 7:15. At that point it was get up, get dressed, and fly out the door. We needed to be driving out of the farm between 8 and 8:15am to make it to the show on time. The show was scheduled to start at 9am, but was about 15 minutes delayed...Praise God! Upon arrival, we quickly got Kaleigh registered for her 9 classes, and started getting her dressed and Pride tacked up. The very first class was showmanship and her and her horse needed to look polished.
Pride won her the blue ribbon in showmanship for his excellence in being able to pivot on his hind leg. That's it give your boy a big kiss!!!
Time was running out, so she completed her trail class.
She scored another first place ribbon in trail.
Her last class of the day was Pole Bending - trot only. I wish I had video taped the whole class so you could see how awesome they did compared to the other horse and riders. You would have NEVER known that this was the first time they competed in this.
