I decided to post December as a whole month, seeing I do not have many pictures. I am camera-less and have been relying on my children's ipod's for pictures. So here is December in a recap.
We had some snow......
Kaleigh got another pet sitting job. The owner had a double knee replacement so we are going to have her for several weeks.....
Eric replaced my leaky faucet with a new one......
Kaleigh had her friend Maddie over for a sleepover........
Blake and Daddy had some quality time building a model truck together......
We had LOTS of cantata practices, so Kaleigh had her favorite baby LOTS......
This one was just too cute. Blake laid down on the floor next to Mac and he put his paw over Blake.
I love to record to small happenings of our life to look back on years from now and see how God leads us and loves us.

Week 47 & 48
Thursday November 22nd
We usually go to my in-laws for Thanksgiving, seeing we host Christmas. This is usually what happens after lunch.
Friday November 23rd
Christmas tree time! The kids even got Mem in on the decorating.
Sunday November 25th
During the month of November, the youth group at our church select individuals who serve Christ in various ministries. We then, make up a basket of their favorite things to honor them. This year it came as a huge surprise that they chose to honor me. It was a blessing!
Monday November 26th
We had a night with no place to be! A rare event. So we made use of our time with a fun game of Go Fish!
Tuesday November 27th
Sometimes it is hard to come up with new ideas for the same ground venison. I ended up finding a website with LOTS of recipes for ground beef. Here is the soup I made and it was very yummy!
Week 46
Sunday November 11th
Kaleigh has really been enjoying working the nursery with me. She loves the kids...especially this one!
Monday November 12th
Parker had no school today so the boys ended up working at Mr. Gladue's polishing chrome for his new hot rod.
Tuesday November 13th
Daddy took Blake hunting with him.
Wednesday November 14th
Kaleigh has another pet sitting job! This kid has more $ than me at this point!
Friday November 16th
Kaleigh went with the teen group to the Superbowl. Superbowl is an all night event where they watch a minor league hockey game, hear a speaker, go bowling, go rollerskating, and have all you can eat pizza and soda.
While she was there, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for the first time! My three boys LOVED it. Doesn't get much better than sports and wings ;)

Week 45
Sunday November 4th
Kaleigh went to a friend's house and learned the art of Zen Tangle.
Monday November 5th
Kaleigh and Tyler
Wednesday November 7th
Parker got his very first public school report card after being home schooled for the past 5 years.
Thursday November 8th
Blake was in denial that the snow was melting and tried his best to enjoy it as long as possible.
Saturday November 10th
The boys had basketball at 10 am while Kaleigh was to be in Mystic for a class at the aquarium. I couldn't split myself in two, so Grammie kindly offered to take Kaleigh for me. The class was for kids ages 12-15 to give them a close up view of what it takes to be a marine biologist at an aquarium. Kaleigh has ruled out marine biology for a career. The thought of having to get her scuba license is what broke the camels back for her. She does not like to be underwater much.

Week 44
Sunday October 28
The teens put on a teen service a church were they host a dinner, do a service with skits, singing, and preaching, and then have some sort of dessert afterwards. They take donations for the food and all the proceeds they raise, go to a college scholarship fund our church has. Kaleigh was one of the voices for a baby in a skit on abortion. Here she is with her BFF backstage.
Monday October 29
What do you do in a hurricane? Play football outside till it gets real bad.
Then move onto Monopoly.
Tuesday October 30
Wind damage at the rental property
Wednesday October 31
School was canceled due to the fact that half our town was still without power. It just so happened to be the half where the school is located. So, we went to Friendly's for lunch. On Wednesdays kids eat for $1.99. Then, we went bowling. Parker won all three games fair and square.
Thursday November 1
Blake has been complaining for a while that he can't see his sheet music for drums. When we took him to the eye doctor we found out that his vision is very good, but he struggles with a problem with his focusing mechanism. I was dumbfounded when the doctor started asking questions like, "Does he read only parts of a sentence." YES! "Does he frequently skip lines when he reads?" YES! He will be starting vision therapy in December along with use of his new glasses!
Friday November 2
We had a work day at the apartment. Kaleigh picked up branches.
Blake scraped and painted the porch.
Eric worked on the roof.

Week 43
This is a very short week with hardly any pictures.
Tuesday October 23
It was crazy hair day at school. Parker had fun planning his hairdo.
Friday October 27
The hubby was home sick on Wednesday and Thursday, but was feeling better on Friday. Friday is his normal day off of work, so he and Blake had some special time together and went fishing. Here are some pics from their day.
Friday night was Trunk or Treat at our local fire complex. It was our first time there and it was amazing. Teachers and parents from town decorated the trunks of their cars and the kids went around trick or treating. The inside of the firehouse was set up with food and games as well as a walk through haunted house. It was a lot of fun. I coaxed Eric into taking a few pictures of the boys playing games as it was too dark outside to take pictures of the trunks :(

Week 42
Sunday October 14th
The wood furnace is now up and running! YAY! No more thousands of dollar oil bills.
Tuesday October 16
We have started our hunt for a horse. This is Cypress. Kaleigh has gone up to ride her twice now. She is a beauty and we were about to make a decision on her, when a free lease came into the picture. We are going to try the free lease out when the owner gets back from vacation.

Schroon Lake, NY- 10/8
On Monday we took a walk around town and around part of the lake. It was absolutely beautiful and we couldn't resist taking LOTS of pictures!
Kaleigh took this picture of the tree and lamp post. I LOVE it!
When we got back to Lori's, the kids decided to rake up a BIG leaf pile and jump into it using the little trampoline. It was great to watch them have such a good time. I did wonder however if we were going to have to go to the ER for a broken arm or something.
It was soooo good to see them, I hope they can come down and stay with us for a few days real soon!
