Week 44

Sunday October 28
The teens put on a teen service a church were they host a dinner, do a service with skits, singing, and preaching, and then have some sort of dessert afterwards.  They take donations for the food and all the proceeds they raise, go to a college scholarship fund our church has.  Kaleigh was one of the voices for a baby in a skit on abortion.  Here she is with her BFF backstage.

Monday October 29
What do you do in a hurricane?  Play football outside till it gets real bad.

Then move onto Monopoly.

Tuesday October 30
Wind damage at the rental property

Wednesday October 31
School was canceled due to the fact that half our town was still without power.  It just so happened to be the half where the school is located.  So, we went to Friendly's for lunch.  On Wednesdays kids eat for $1.99.  Then, we went bowling.  Parker won all three games fair and square.

Thursday November 1
Blake has been complaining for a while that he can't see his sheet music for drums.  When we took him to the eye doctor we found out that his vision is very good, but he struggles with a problem with his focusing mechanism.  I was dumbfounded when the doctor started asking questions like, "Does he read only parts of a sentence."  YES!  "Does he frequently skip lines when he reads?"  YES!  He will be starting vision therapy in December along with use of his new glasses!

Friday November 2
We had a work day at the apartment.  Kaleigh picked up branches.

Blake scraped and painted the porch.
                                                              Eric worked on the roof.
And I raked leaves FOR FOUR HOURS, but of course nobody took a pic of that!

Saturday November 3
My Saturdays will now consist of sitting on bleachers for basketball practices for four hours straight :)

That's weird that we were both at Willi Bowl on the 31st...same lane even.

Its fun to work together as a family...looks like it was productive!
