Hike For Honduras

A while back while running on my treadmill and praying, I asked God how I could help get friends of ours to the mission field in Honduras.  They have gone through all the steps necessary and are just waiting for God to meet their financial goals.  God spoke loud and clear to me with 'Hike For Honduras'.  I do love when God makes things very clear to me, and wish it happened more regularly.  This was in fact, one of those times and as I ran, things got clearer and clearer.  I would run the hike much like the March of Dimes and Cancer Society run their walks.  And so the planning process began.  I spoke to our Pastor about it, I lined up food, a free gift for early paid registrations and took registrations and payments at church.  The hike was held on April 29th and raised $1866.  I got a lot of good feedback from all those who participated and they all said I should make it an annual event.  It is so nice to serve the Lord in a church with so much love and support.  Thank you to all who gave to see the Lord's work fulfilled in Honduras.
