About a week before school started, Eric called me up and told me he was able to get three tickets to the Red Sox game for dirt cheap and would Parker and I like to go? Um YEAH!!! I secretly packed warm clothes and all our Red Sox gear in the back of the van and asked Parker to come with me to "get Daddy" as his car had broken down. He begrudgingly came complaining how it was not fair that he had to come while his brother and sister got to stay home and play. As we passed into Massachusetts, I wondered if he had figured it out, but he hadn't even noticed the "Welcome to Massachusetts" sign. As we pulled into a parking lot at a strip mall be began asking questions as to what we were doing here and where is Dad? Eric pulled up and Parker was like "Oh great we came all this way and his car is fixed now!" We rushed him out of the car and brought him to the back of the van were he saw all his Sox gear. Daddy said ya better hurry up and change. You could see the light bulb click as a HUGE smile developed. He laughed and couldn't believe his parents had tricked him!
As we got to the Prudential Center and were walking out, we saw this HUGE crowd of people and wondered what was going on. As we moved in we realized that it was because Paul Pierce was there. We didn't have time to stop and get in line for a picture and autograph, but we did take a quick picture from afar to document the memory.
Because we were running late and because I forgot my sneakers, we decided to take a Pedicab.
And you can't go to Fenway and NOT have a Frank ;)
