Saturday August 20th
Was the last day of the tag sale. The sale ended at 2pm and the help I had to clean up was God sent. I was out of there by 5:30pm. We raised $5500 for missions. While I was doing this Kaleigh was out at her FIRST teen event with the youth group. They went to an event at Dodd Stadium and watched a Tiger's game.
Sunday August 21st
Our family attended the pig roast and Luau for Uncle Bill in RI.
Monday August 22nd
What do you do with a bunch of tomatoes, zuchinni, and yellow squash from the garden. You make this. I call it goulosh, but don't know if it has an actual name. You saute garlic and onions in some olive oil, then add your venison hamburg, add your veggies, some salt and pepper. Serve over rice. YUMMY
Tuesday August 23rd
Finally got that family day at the beach! Blake played football with Daddy...
While Parker did some boogey boarding...
Blake dug in the dirt looking for sand fleas to use as bait...
The boys headed out to fish...
While Kaleigh and I read our books...
It was a GREAT day!
Wednesday August 24th
Wednesday I received a phone call from my FIL asking me to call my MIL at work and have her come home because he fell off the roof of the barn. I suggested he call 911, but he didn't want to do anything till we got ahold of her. So I called her and immediately called him back to try to assess his injuries and make sure he stayed conscious till help arrived. They flew him to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar. He is one lucky guy to still be alive. He will be hurting for a while due to the 13 broken bones he sustained in his fall.
Thursday August 25th
The kids had one final playdate before school starts. I took them to see Mars Needs Moms at the library and then back to our house to play.
Friday August 26th
Spent a long overdue evening with the Garrison family. Dinner and games. The kids were up till 11pm playing hide and seek. Here they are pig piling on Eric. LOL!
