Saturday December 24th
Parker found this project online and thought it would be perfect to make for his chocolate loving great grandmother. Blake decided to make one for Memere too. I was fun and easy for them. All it took was a foam cone, a hot glue gun, toothpicks and six bags of Hershey kisses.
Sunday December 25th
Since we moved into the house in 2003, my grandmother has been sleeping over on Christmas Eve so she can enjoy the kids opening up all their presents. At 94, it is a cherished memory for both her and the kids.
Kaleigh holding the Harry Potter DVD collection she got from Pepere and Memere Constant in Florida.
Parker and the Light Saber he wanted for Christmas.
Blake couldn't decide which of these gifts were his favorite so he posed with all three.
Even Missy got a Christmas present....a package of kitty treats.
Kaleigh modeling her 'Abonamable Snow Monster' slippers.
Parker and Mem watching a movie.
The handsome chef. He made a delicious dinner of salmon, loaded mashed potatoes, and veggies. My contribution to the meal was fresh homemade bread.
We had quesadillas for lunch in my new maker.
Then we had many mean games of Quirkle. It is a fun game for all ages that gets your thinker thinking strategy.
Monday December 26th
The kids and I spend all day cleaning up the living room and restoring the house from the whirlwind that Christmas brought. I had warned my husband to make sure he took his shoes off at the door because we had just spent all day cleaning and I would like it to remain that way for more than two hours. Lo and behold he ran through the house while playing outside with the boys and tracked mud from the front door to the back door. After dinner he graciously cleaned his mess up so he didn't have to see fumes continue to come out of my ears.
Tuesday December 27th
Kaleigh was so sweet and made Daddy a cup of coffee. Mmmmm, coffee you can also chew. LOL!
Wednesday December 28th
Domino time with my favorite two year old.
Thursday December 29th
I took the kids to the library to see Mad Science. Cosmic Chris is just hilarious.
Friday December 30th
The boys had a friend sleep over on Thursday night. So on Friday they spent their day playing wii, basketball and then wandered out to the side yard and helped Eric split and stack wood.
Later that evening, we finally caught one of Eric's basketball games.
Saturday December 31st
I finally finished the basement cleaning project that I started earlier in the week. It was a disaster down there, so bad you could barely walk. I am very proud of my hard work. Now the boys have a great space to jam in.
Later that evening, we went to the Boyden's for their annual New Year's Eve party.
Ken the infamous Quesadilla King.
There were a bunch of games and lots of laughs. It is such a blessing to get together with good friends for good food, fun, and fellowship.

Yay for another year! Good for you! Your kids (at least Kaleigh) will most certainly appreciate it some day.
Gotta love a man who can cook and vacuum. ;)
