Standing on the promises of God

Standing on the promises of Christ my King, through eternal ages let his praises ring; glory in the highest, I will shout and sing, standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living Word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord, bound to him eternally by love's strong cord, overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword, standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall, listening every moment to the Spirit's call, resting in my Savior as my all in all, standing on the promises of God.

I just love the hymn 'Standing On the Promises of God'. Sometimes in life when a curve ball is thrown at you that is all you can do. I have been thrown several since coming to the Lord and He has always been faithful. Tonight the kids and I were playing Monopoly. I sent Parker upstairs to brush his teeth when I heard..."Mom you gotta go look outside!" We all followed him out to the front lawn to look at what was waiting for us just over the garage. It was the biggest most vibrant rainbow I think I have ever seen. It just warms my heart when I see them, knowing that God just wanted to remind me how much He loves me. I get all teary eyed just thinking about it. Well my picture doesn't do it justice....but here it is.
