Columbus Day at Buell's
I decided to take the kids to Buell's for their annual Fall festival. We usually go on Saturday but I decided to try it on Monday this year. It worked out quite nice. We were there by 10:20am and immediately jumped on the hay ride to the pumpkin patch and picked out our pumpkins.
By the time we got back I was able to grab a wagon, pay and bring them to the van. It was great because there were NO lines, which is not the case later in the day.
We then spent some time in the candy apple factory and the apple cider mill. It amazes me that we have spent 9 or so years going to this and the kids never tire of it. I was the one who was asking..."Can we leave now?" LOL!
Our last stop was apple picking. This year we got Macouns, Ida-Reds, and Honey Crisps.
The kids had fun taking some pictures while we waited for the wagon to bring us back up the hill.
After we got home, we watched a video on Christopher Columbus that I has downloaded to Netflix the day before. It was a fun and educational day for all!
